As part of its commitment to continue delivering fashion experiences to the world, DHL Express, the world’s leading international express provider, has announced BAIIA, a sustainable women’s swimwear line, as the winner of its Launch a Label to the World Stage competition, during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia 2018 (MBFWA). The competition, held from April 18, 2018 – May 9, 2018 invited local designers to share in detail how the prize will help to further grow their business locally and overseas. BAIIA was given a $5,000 DHL Express shipment credit as well as two VIP tickets for an exclusive experience at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia.

Gary Edstein, CEO and Senior Vice President, DHL Express Oceania, said: “DHL Express has enjoyed a longstanding partnership with Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia since 2007 to contribute to the fashion scene. “We want companies to view DHL Express as an extension of their business and to form a trusted partnership with us. DHL Express is the logistics company for fashion, offering unparalleled industry insight, excellent customer service, as well as providing the fastest and most reliable logistics solutions to the Australian fashion industry,” he said.

Amber Boyers, founder of BAIIA, said: “I’m so grateful to DHL Express for this incredible opportunity and it’s wonderful to be recognised as an emerging Australian designer. The shipping credit especially will help BAIIA to reach so many more women on a global scale, and in turn help to empower the rise of sustainable fashion, women and the environment.”
