“INJECTABLE COSMETICS” ARE PROHIBITED IMPORTS INTO THE US

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) provides guidance on imports of injectable cosmetics into the US including various dermal fillers and Botox or botulinum toxin.

  • Shippers require importation permit issued by the U.S. Customs and Border Protection – US-CBP in order to ship to the consignees in the USA. The shipper must attach the copy of document with waybill and invoice before booking shipment with DHL Express.
  • Without proper documentation, the export is not permitted. The export is also not permitted if shipped to individual consignees. However, the export and import permission is subject to consideration of Customs authorities in origin and destination countries.
  • Remark: Counterfeit Botox or fillers are strictly prohibited. Failure to comply with such regulations will result in seizure.
