Temporarily exporting shipments
The purpose of the temporary export customs procedure is to temporarily export Union goods from the customs territory of the Union and to release the products resulting from the operations for free circulation with total or partial exemption from import duties.
DHL Express offers two types of temporary export:
- For repair
- For temporary use (e.g. exhibition at a trade fair)
If you wish to clear your goods for temporary export via DHL Express, we require advance information by e-mail to atcustoms.export@dhl.com to ensure that your shipment can be processed in accordance with customs regulations and exported without additional delay.
This e-mail must contain the following information:
- In the subject line: Attention - Advance notice - AWB (consignment number)
- Content of the mail: We are shipping goods today for (please specify whether it is for repair or temporary use)
- The invoice as an attachment (in PDF format):
- Identification of affected goods
- Tariff number
- Identity (serial number of the individual goods)
Please note that goods without identification cannot be declared for temporary export.
The costs for temporary export are 45,- EUR excl.
