Although the COVID-19 pandemic required businesses to modify, shift and adapt to a different working environment, DHL Express took significant efforts to keep their operations functioning smoothly as well as protect their staff and customers during the crisis.

Being resilient even during these unprecedented times, DHL Express has been named as the world’s number one best workplace in the annual list published by Great Place to Work Institute™ (GPTW) in partnership with Fortune Magazine. As quoted by the CEO of DHL Express, John Pearson, “Since 2009, DHL Express experienced an era of transformation guided by its strategy Focus. Within this strategy, we made it our purpose to motivate people working with us and to become the employer of choice”.

Over the years, DHL Express has continuously maintained delivery efficiency and speed while adhering to strict safety standards. We seek to maintain our international delivery operations while also satisfying our clients’ needs. Our prime focus is to uphold our employees' health and provide ample support to help them achieve their full potential.

DHL Express believes that the backbone of a company is its people. Keeping that in mind, DHL introduced a people-oriented program called Certified International Specialists (CIS) in 2009. This program would provide every team member with the skills and competencies necessary for the company to evolve into specialists in overseas express delivery.

"One of the key elements of our strategy is focused on the people who work for DHL Express. Without the engagement of our great people, we would not be able to deliver excellence to our customers as we do today,” says Regine Büttner, Executive Vice President HR, DHL Express.

“Deutsche Post DHL Group takes pride in DHL Express being the #1 World's Best Workplace™ 2021. Our colleagues who connect people and improve lives all around the globe are our biggest asset and their engagement and motivation is the prerequisite for sustainable success.

DHL Express is a role model for people-focus and employee orientation and an inspiration for all of us,” explains Thomas Ogilvie, Chief Human Resources Officer at Deutsche Post DHL Group.
