DHL has been a proud sponsor of Surf Lifesaving New Zealand for twenty years, since 2003. To celebrate this remarkable milestone, DHL Surf Live Saving NZ have released a short video to highlight the partnership.
Surf Life Saving New Zealand (SLSNZ) is one of our long-standing partners, with 2023 marking two decades of partnership. DHL’s commitment to supporting SLSNZ in their vital mission to educate Kiwis about beach safety remains of utmost importance to us. In the two decades that we have been in partnership, SLSNZ Volunteers continue to play a pivotal role on New Zealand beaches.
“We’re so proud to be celebrating twenty years of supporting Surf Life Saving, which provides such a valuable service to our community,” says Mark Foy, Managing Director, DHL Express New Zealand Pacific Islands.
“The Surf Life Saving uniform has been sponsored by DHL since its inception in 2003. It has become an icon of the New Zealand summer, and as such we thought it was appropriate to celebrate the uniform, as well as of course the wonderful volunteers who patrol our beaches and keep us safe during the summer period.”
To celebrate this incredible milestone, we marked the occasion with a video that highlights the remarkable statistics that SLSNZ have produced over 20 years. Bringing together DHL Couriers and Surf Lifeguards, the video proudly displays the iconic red and yellow colours of both the DHL and SLSNZ uniforms, symbolising the strong partnership between two brands. With DHL’s support, SLSNZ have done 4 million patrol hours, saved over 25,000 lives and undertaken nearly 2 million preventative actions over the past two decades.
